GIFT A WELL AND SAVE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN NEPALESE VILLAGES
For around thirty years, Échanges Himalayans has been working on the health of villages in a region of southern Nepal, LUMBINI , the birthplace of Buddha.
Our strategy is health prevention : vaccinations, health education, drinking water equipment through wells. A local team including a doctor, a midwife and nurses is responsible for this health program. More than 30,000 people are concerned by our actions.
Each well saves newborns from infant dehydration, a deadly condition linked to infected water. Children and adults are also protected from these infections. A midwife monitors the pregnancies of pregnant women.
Thanks to sponsorships and our teams in the field, we have installed more than 200 wells in 25 years!

Help build a well!
You too can participate in the construction of a well. Thanks to your donation, our teams on site will select the village that needs it the most, begin the surveys, the analysis of the water table and then the construction of the well. Then, the monitoring of its use and its maintenance will be carried out in order to ensure that the populations take full advantage of this new source of drinking water. Medical monitoring will also be carried out in the village.
Alone or with others, you can finance the construction of a well and the health education program for a Nepalese village. The cost for 2024 is 503 euros or 60,000 FCP. You will receive photos of your well once built as well as the health report and monitoring carried out by our teams on site. You will also choose the name to give to your well!
