Midwives support populations in their health and medical education

Nurses and midwives are omnipresent in the field. They regularly inform our Association of the actions carried out and the results obtained.

The analysis of our results on maternal mortality seems almost unbelievable.

In fact, the mortality rate has dropped from 71 cases in 1995 to just 2 in 2022.

This remarkable improvement is largely attributable to the exceptional work of midwives in the field. In addition, thanks to the purity of the water from our deep wells, we now no longer record any infant deaths due to dehydration.

Very important health results, because they are associated with our health education programs.

We will give ourselves another 5 years to meet basic needs regarding wells, and to set up microcredit trials such as we did in Manageon, a village that was a victim of the terrible earthquake in 2015.

"Your testimonies allow us to understand how you work and to learn more about your actions with the villages of the Lumbini region. We are happy to be able to help you."

A Midwife Sponsor

A Team at the service of the most deprived populations...
Thanks to you!

Recently, we added a midwife to our team to better cover all the villages.

So we have 6 midwives for our 72 consultation centers. This team is under the direction of a gynecologist who works for the dispensary managed by the Himalayan Exchange Branch in Nepal and Dr. Mallick, our local partner.

We use him one day a week to do the reports and activity analysis that are sent to us every 2 months. We will add a second day to go on site to our centers and monitor the health of the babies and their mothers.
